Marketing the Coupious application

Why do businesses use coupons?

To increase the number of new customers
To increase sales of a specific product or item
To increase customer loyalty for current customers
To reward current customers
To entice the return of former customers
To up sell a product or item
To promote a one time offer, like a holiday item or business anniversary offer. Coupons make it easy to measure the success of an ad campaign

Coupons are a proven method to achieve all of these goals

What type of coupons can be offered and why chose one type or another.

When you decide on a coupon we suggest that you make the offer a unique offer that requires a coupon, not an offer a customer can already find on your menu, on your web site, on a door hanger or in your window. The value of a coupon is its exclusivity, the user has taken the trouble to find the coupon and they get rewarded for that. If your coupon has an expiration date, this gives the user an incentive to come in and redeem the coupon while it’s still good.

Coupons that offer two for one price are good ways for a merchant to get customers to buy more then one item at a time. An example would be an item that sells for $5 and a coupon that allows the customer to purchase 2 of that item for $8, the business sells two items for $4 rather then one item for $5.

Buy one item to get a deal on another item or items. An example would be when a restaurant offers a free entrée with the purchase of a main course and a beverage, or some combination of menu items.

A coupon for a set price off an item is less effective because the customer may be going to buy that item at full price anyway and now you have lost the discount you gave them. An example would be $3 off any entrée or $3 off a 15lb of dog food. This is often used just to get someone to come into your business where you can sell them other items.

What you can do with the Coupious application control panel.

You can create multiple coupons for multiple products your business has to offer. You can set up your coupons to expire at a certain time or not, you can limit the number of times one user can view a specific coupon. You can have different coupons for different locations and each coupon can have different criteria for use. If your coupons have usage limits, we suggest you have at least one coupon that always shows up. This way your company’s name will always appear in a search even when your best deals are not seen.

You have complete control of the text of the coupon and can change it at any time using your Coupious control panel. Each coupon can contain a unique coupon code for your company, a code that you can use to help your track the coupon’s activity. You can create a coupon and not activate it until a later date or inactivate any coupon at any time.

When you create or edit coupons the change take effect immediately after you activate the Create a Coupon button in the application control panel.

After you download the Coupious application you must make sure your phone's GPS  function is turned on for this application to work.
